I am an accredited Rider Biomechanics Coach- Ride With Your Mind - Level 1 - Mastery.

I have been an accredited coach since September 2022 where I was awarded the prestigious Mastery level, following over 3 years as a  biomechanics coach in in training .

The Ride With Your Mind philosophy is based on the idea that successful riding isn’t just about what your body does but also how you think and process the act of riding. It integrates a deep understanding of biomechanics, how the rider’s body moves in harmony with the horse, into practical coaching strategies. Mary Wanless’s methods are rooted in the concept that riders can improve their skill and communication with their horse by retraining the way they think about movement, position, and awareness. RWYM combines powerful NLP, & sport psychology coaching  techniques, combined with a practical application and understanding of functional anatomy. Coaching in this system can (and should be) de jargoned and clear for the rider and the horse.

 

No matter  if you are a 'happy hacker', working intro, grand prix or anywhere in between, RWYM is has the power to communicate with your horse in a clear horse first way, that really is like riding in  the 'langage horse'. 

 

In short, Ride With Your Mind teaches you to mentally engage with your body and your horse in a way that transforms both the rider’s and the horse’s experience. It’s about breaking down the riding process into understandable, manageable 'chunks' and enhancing the rider’s self-awareness, engaging in noticing the subtle ( and sometimes less subtle) feedback from the horse.

Why am I so passionate about RWYM, it was the difference that made the difference to me as a rider. Following a number of years injured and in pain not being able to ride, I owe my ability to ride again (no pain free) to this work. ​​

This work really is pivotal and is the difference that makes the difference to so many combinations
